Nau mai ki ĀPŌPŌ – Wellington City’s first indigenous CreativeTech programme and hub. We’re here to grow Māori and indigenous peoples participation, success and leadership in the CreativeTech industry and provide mentors, community, space and tools to solve tomorrows problems.
Kaupapa
Āpōpō is an indigenous creativetech hub – a place where Māori and Pacific people, passionate about creativetech, can collectively learn, work, collaborate and thrive.
Āpōpō supports the growth of Māori and indigenous participation, success and leadership in the commercial design and creativetech industry.
Our programme includes a Māori-centric shared workspace, creativetech internship, creativetech / design wānanga programme, and event space.
The Āpopō CreativeTech Hub has space for over 30 indigenous creativetech businesses and innovators.
Each year the Āpōpō programme supports up to 12 indigenous design and creativetech students through a paid internship program.
Āpōpō offers over 15 educational wānanga alongside 12 design and technology events each year.
Āpōpō provides a unique industry-leading environment where the Māori creativetech community can gather, thrive and succeed. We offer permanent or flexible hot desking, koha drop-ins and meeting room hire.
